Day 1: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Day 1: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and after drive to western Uganda to Kibale Forest National Park via Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal route about 5-6 hours’ drive. Kibale national park is a home to 13 primate species including over 1500 chimpanzees, L’Hoest monkeys, red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and others. Besides, there are also over 350 bird species most of which can be spotted while on chimpanzee trek, 250 tree species, 60 species of mammals and many butterflies. Dine and spend a night at Kyaninga lodge/Ndali lodge/Primate lodge (luxury), Chimpanzee Forest Guest (Midrange) or Kibale Forest Camp (Basic).
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and nature walk in Bigodi wetland
Have breakfast and later, gather at Kanyanchu visitor center for briefing on the set rules and regulations for chimpanzee tracking. By 8:00 am, start your adventure in the pristine rainforest of Kibale to look out for chimpanzees. Once you find them, you have an hour of magical encounter, photo taking and exploring their behaviors. In addition to chimpanzees, you will also come across other prominent primates like L’Hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, grey cheeked mangabeys, red tailed monkeys, bush babies as well as several bird species including the yellow spotted nicators. After, return to the lodge to have lunch and in the afternoon, you have guided nature walks in Bigodi wetland sanctuary which also will reward you with amazing sights at varied bird species including the great blue turaco and primates like black and white colobus monkeys, baboons among others. have dinner and overnight stay at Kyaninga lodge/Ndali lodge/Primate lodge (luxury), Chimpanzee Forest Guest (Midrange) or Kibale Forest Camp (Basic).
Day 3: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast early in the morning and then check out from the lodge ready to set off for 3 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park a home to varied savanna grassland wildlife species. This park offers refuge to 4 of the big 5 game (African bush elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions) and many antelopes, birds. Arrive here early enough to have lunch and after, set off for afternoon game drive which will reward you with amazing wildlife sights. Dine and spend a night stay Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury), Kyambura Gorge (Midrange) or Bush Lodge (Budget).
Day 4: Game drive and launch cruise
Start the day with early morning breakfast at your respective lodge and after, embark on a game drive via Kasenyi wildlife track. This will get you clear sights at varied wildlife species including elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, lions, leopards, birds and many others. Return to have lunch and a rest then in the afternoon, you have a launch cruise along Kazinga channel that will get the best sights at varied water dwellers including crocodiles, hippos, birds-pelicans, kingfishers, saddle billed stork and others.Dine and spend a night at Kyaninga lodge/Ndali lodge/Primate lodge (luxury), Chimpanzee Forest Guest (Midrange) or Kibale Forest Camp (Basic).
Day 5: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Have breakfast early in the morning and after, you embark on a road trip via Ishasha sector that gets you a chance to spot out the tree climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi National Park southwestern Uganda a home to nearly half the total population of mountain gorillas that are left on earth today. En-route, have lunch at Savanna resort and then proceed to Bwindi. Arrive early enough to check in at Chameleon Hill Lodge/Silverback lodge/Mahogany Springs Lodge (Luxury), Gorilla Mist camp (Midrange) or Buhoma community rest camp (Budget)
Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and later, join other visitors at park headquarters for briefing on rules and regulations for gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. You will be assigned to 1 habituated family to track in a group of 8 visitors and a park ranger guide to take you through your adventure. Treks may last you about 4-8 hours depending on your hiking speed, nature of habitat and location of mountain gorillas. You have an hour to have a face to face encounter with them, take as many photos as possible and explore their behaviors. On this day, you need snacks and enough drinking water. Get back to the lodge to have rest and perhaps lunch then in the evening, you have community walk in Batwa community that gets you the best of cultural and traditional dances, music among others. Dine and spend a night at Chameleon Hill Lodge/Silverback lodge/Mahogany Springs Lodge (Luxury), Gorilla Mist camp (Midrange) or Buhoma community rest camp (Budget).
Day 7: Drive back to Kampala
Get up early enough to enjoy breakfast and after, embark on a return journey to Kampala. Have lunch at Igongo cultural center and photo shoot at equator then proceed to Kampala or Entebbe and this marks the end of your 7 days Uganda safari.
