The 7 days Rwanda safari is a week’s time offer set for you to explore Rwanda’s most magnificent national parks. It takes you through Akagera National Park in the eastern side, Volcanoes National Park, Nyungwe Forest National Park each of which rewards you with unique experiences. Your 7 days Rwanda safari will start and end in Kigali.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kigali
Day 2: Departure for Akagera National Park and afternoon boat ride
Day 3: Game drive and drive to Volcanoes National Park
Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Day 5: Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kigali
Arrive at Kigali early enough and get a warm welcome from our driver guide who will give a quick briefing on what your 7 days Rwanda safari is all about. Later, he will drive you to a hotel to dine and spend a night at Kigali Serena Hotel (Luxury), Elegance Motel (Budget)
Day 2: Departure for Akagera National Park and afternoon boat ride
Following breakfast early in the morning, check out from the hotel, pick up by your driver guide who then will drive you to eastern Rwanda to Akagera National Park-Rwanda’s only savanna grassland national park. Get here early enough and have lunch and after, set off for afternoon boat ride via Lake Ihema which rewards you with amazing encounters over huge concentration of hippos, crocodiles and water birds as well as many savanna grassland wildlife species that roam around the lake shores. After, return to the lodge to have dinner and overnight stay at Dereva Hotel (Budget), Akagera Game Lodge (Midrange) or Ruzizi Tented Lodge/Magashi Luxury Tented Camp (Luxury).
Day 3: Game drive and drive to Volcanoes National Park
Early in the morning, get up early enough to enjoy your breakfast and after set off for morning game drive. This will reward you with incredible views over African bush elephants, leopards, lions, buffaloes, rhinos, antelopes, giraffes, birds a mention but a few. After, this 2 to 3 hours’ wildlife experience, drive to Volcanoes National Park-a home to a section of mountain gorillas that currently remain not more than 1004 in the world. Have a rest, dinner and overnight stay at Bisate Lodge/Virunga Lodge/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury), Kinigi Guesthouse (Budget) or Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge (Mid0-range).
Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Have breakfast early enough and join the rest of the members for briefing on the set rules and regulations for gorilla trekking. Make sure that you have your packed lunch/energy giving snacks and bottled water to keep boosting your energy while on a hike. This adventure may last you about 4 to 6 hours depending on your hiking speed, nature of habitat and location of gorillas. You will be assigned to track only 1 habituated family out of the 10 that have been habituated in Volcanoes National Park. When you find a group of these rare creatures, you have only an hour to explore about their behaviors, take photos and others. Dine and spend a night at Bisate Lodge/Virunga Lodge/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury), Kinigi Guesthouse (Budget) or Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge (Midrange).
Day 5: Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Get up early in the morning to have breakfast at your respective lodge and after, you will embark on either yet another exciting primate adventure ‘golden monkey tracking’ which gets you magical encounters with golden monkeys or simply take a hike to Dian Fossey tomb site for you to learn more about Dian Fossey-the great primatologist who studied about mountain gorillas, played role in their conservation. After, drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park a home to about 13 distinct primate species. Dine and spend a night at Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Luxury), Nyungwe Top View Lodge (Midrange) or Gisakura Guesthouse (Basic).
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park
You will be served breakfast and after, set off for briefing on dos and don’ts for chimpanzee tracking. A trek to see chimpanzees in the wild is incredibly one most thrilling experience. It also allows you to view other primate species including colobus monkeys, mangabeys, blue monkeys as well as forest birds. Later, return to the lodge to have lunch and rest then set off for canopy walk in the afternoon that equally will reward you with incredible views over several primates, birds and unique plants and tree species. Dine and spend a night at Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Luxury), Nyungwe Top View Lodge (Midrange) or Gisakura Guesthouse (Basic).
Day 7: Return to Kigali
Have breakfast and after, check out from your lodge ready to embark on a return journey to Kigali. This will mark the end of your 7 days Rwanda safari.
