Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & pick up

Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, our driver guide will pick you up and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Overnight stay at your hotel

Day 2: ZZiwa rhino & transfer to Murchison falls

Today you wake up early, have a cup of coffee and transfer to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola for rhino tracking. Enjoy a 2-3 hours rhino tracking tour and proceed to Masindi for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Murchison falls National park with a stop at the top of the falls. Dinner and overnight stay at Red Chili rest camp, UWA Bandas.

Day 3: Game viewing & boat cruising

3 Days Queen Elizabeth National ParkIn the early morning, go for game driving in the northern section of Murchison falls. There you will see numerous wild animals grazing and hunting in the open savannahs before retiring for day rests. Among the animals you will see include Rothschild’s giraffe, elephants, buffalos, elands, Topis, Uganda Kobs, Waterbucks, Warthogs, Hartebeest, and lions among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and wait for hot lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls. Experience how the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge before falling into the devils cauldron, witness the permanent rainbow at the bottom of the falls and look out for numerous water animals and birds on the River Nile banks. Enjoy the cool breezes and have fun. Dinner and overnight stay at Red Chili rest camp, UWA Bandas.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest

Have breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on a 7 hours drive to Kibale Forest via Kyenjojo on Hoima road. Overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp/ Chimpanzee guesthouse

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland

Uganda chimpanzee toursWake up very early, have a cup of coffee and with your packed lunch transfer to kanyanchu information Centre for briefing about chimpanzee trekking. At 8:00am, start off a hike into the jungle to meet your closest relative. Pay attention to the loud shouts and hooting of chimpanzees giving you a direction to take. The hike is steep but you are assured of meting chimpanzees. Also, Kibale forest is home to other primates including black and white colobus, red tailed monkeys, baboons and verve monkeys among others, which you will definitely see. In the evening if time allows, visit Bigodi wetland for a nature walk and bird watching. Overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp/ Chimpanzee guesthouse

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Having had a cup of coffee, check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Reach in the afternoon and relax at the lodge enjoying the great views of Mweya peninsular. Overnight stay at Tembo Safari Lodge/ UWA Bandas

Day 7: Game viewing & kazinga boat cruise

Arise early and go for game viewing in the open plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park has a high concentration of animals including elephants, lions, buffalos, Uganda kobs, Hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Topis and elands among others. Return to the lodge, have breakfast and wait for lunch. In the afternoon join a launch cruise at Kazinga channel to enjoy cool breezes and spectacular views of water animals, birds and neighboring fishing villages. Dinner and overnight at Tembo Safari Lodge/ UWA Bandas

Day 8: Lion tracking

Lion tracking in UgandaToday you will enjoy the experimental lion tracking. In the early morning, transfer to kasenyi plains to track the kings of the jingle. There you will follow various tracks as guided by a radio call on the location of lions, spend ample time learning about the lifestyle of lions in the wilderness and have great moments. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge. Overnight stay at Tembo Safari Lodge/ UWA Bandas

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up on a cup of coffee, check out and set off to Lake Bunyonyi. Drive out of Queen Elizabeth via ishasha sector, home to the famous tree-climbing lions and proceed via Kabale to Lake Bunyonyi. Overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 10: Gorilla trekking & Batwa visits

Wakeup very early, get your packed lunch and drive to respective park headquarter in Bwindi forest for a pre gorilla trekking briefing at 7:00am. You will be put in groups of eight and allocated a gorilla family to visit. Hiking to see gorillas starts at 8:00am taking as short as 30 minutes to several hours depending on where gorillas will be that day. Spend an hour in the company of gorillas, have pictures, capture live videos and enjoy this magical encounter. If time allows, you will visit batwa communities to learn about their traditional forest life. Overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 11: Chill at Lake Bunyonyi

Views of Lake Bunyonyi in KabaleSpend the day chilling at shores of Lake Bunyonyi enjoying the beautiful sun rise and sun set. You will have a boat cruise o explore various islands of Lake Bunyonyi especially the punishment island where pregnant unmarried Bakiga girls would be taken and left to die in isolation. If you know swimming, enjoy dives into the calm waters of Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second deepest Lake. Overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park

After morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Mburo National park. Enjoy the scenic drive through Kabale Mbarara road with lunch en route. Overnight stay at Mburo Eagle’s Nest.

Day 13: Game viewing/Milking experience & boat cruise

Arise early and drive for game viewing in the open plains to see numerous animals including zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, bush pigs, Uganda kobs, impalas and Topis among others. Alternatively, visit community villages in the park for milking experience. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax waiting for lunch. In the afternoon, join a boat cruise on Lake Mburo for great views of birds, and water animals on the lake shores. Dinner and overnight at Mburo Eagle’s Nest.

Day 14: Departure

Have breakfast, check out and drive to Kampala for you connecting flight at Entebbe international airport.
