Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to the hotel

Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport,  your driver-guide (our company representative) will pick  you up and transfer to Two Friends Hotel/ Bomma Hotel

 Day 2:  Visit Ngamba island/Mabamba swamp/ UWEC

After morning breakfast, join to  Ngamba chimpanzee sanctuary to see chimpanzees. Alternatively, visit Mabamba bay wetland to see the famous shoebill stork that calls this wetland home. Also, you can choose to visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre to see different habituated animals and birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Two Friends Hotel/ Bomma Hotel

 Day 3: Transfer to MFN – Rhino tracking, visit the top of the falls

Wake up early, have breakfast and depart for Murchison Falls National Park. Have a stopover at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and have lunch enroute. From there proceed to Murchison Falls Park and join a hike to the top of the falls for spectacular views. You will experience how strong river Nile waters squeeze through a 7-meters gorge before falling 43 meters down.  Dinner and overnight stay at Pakuba Safari Lodge

 Day 4: Game viewing & boat cruise

In the early morning, go for game viewing in the open savannahs of Murchison Falls National Park. The game drives offer you a close encounter with wild animals including giraffes, lions, elephants, buffalos, Oribis, Topis, Uganda kobs, and waterbucks among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and wait for hot lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Observe how strong the Nile waters fall into the devil’s cauldron to form a permanent rainbow. Also, look out for birds and wild water animals on the river banks. Dinner and overnight stay at Budongo Eco Lodge

 Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking & transfer to Kampala

Arise early, have a cup of coffee and transfer to Budongo forest for chimpanzee trekking. The experience starts with a short briefing about the rules and regulations for chimpanzee trekking. Spend an hour with the endangered chimpanzees, learn about their behaviors, take pictures and enjoy this magical encounter.  In the afternoon, drive to Kampala for and overnight stay at Sky’s Hotel

Day 6: Transfer to L.Mburo National park – Evening game drives

After breakfast, leave kampala and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover at the Uganda equator for photographs. Reach Lake Mburo in the afternoon, check into the lodge and go for evening game drives. Expect to see animals such as Zebras, giraffes, jackals, bushbucks, eland, buffalos and Impalas among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Rwakobo Rock Lodge

 Day 7:Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Optional activities

Have breakfast and drive to Lake Bunyonyi in southwestern Uganda. The scenic drive through farms, Mbarara city, and Kigezi hills is worth doing. In the afternoon, take part in optional activities on lake Bunyonyi such as boat cruising, swimming, zip-lining and community visit among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

 Day 8: Free day

Spend the full day relaxing on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi.  Breakfast, Lunch, dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Ruhija Bwindi Forest

Wake up very early, have breakfast get your packed lunch and transfer to Ruhija sector of Bwindi forest for gorilla trekking. Assemble at the park headquarters for registration and briefing about gorilla trekking. You will be put in a group of eight and given a gorilla family to visit. The trek starts at 8:00am lasting for between 30 minutes to a full day depending on the location of gorillas and your physical fitness to hike. On meeting the gorilla, sped an hour in their presence, embrace their human like characters, take pictures and enjoy this lifetime experience.  Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort 

Day 10:Free Day

Spend this full day relaxing at the Lodge. You can do optional boat cruise to explore island of the lake, go swimming, visit neighboring local communities or do zip lining. Full board stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

 Day 11: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After having a cup of coffee, cross over to Rwanda and drive northwestwards to Volcanoes National Park, home to 10 habituated gorilla families. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain gorilla View Lodge/ Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge

 Day 12:Golden Monkey trekking & transfer to Gisenyi

Wakeup on a cup of coffee and transfer to kinigi park head quarters for registration and briefing about the rules and regulations of golden monkey trekking. At 2:00am, start off a hike to meet these playful and lively monkey species. The hike is not strenuous as in gorilla trekking.  In the evening, transfer to Gisenyi  beach for sunbathing, swimming and relaxation. Overnight stay at Kivu Serena Hotel

Day 13:Transfer to Nyungwe Forest

Transfer to Nyungwe Forest national park, home to the highest number of chimpanzees in Rwanda and other 12 primate species. Overnight stay at Umucyo Lodge.

 Day 14: Colubus trekking, canopy walk, tea plantation tour

Today, you have optional activities in Nyngwe Forest National Park. You may chose to do colubus trekking to visit different monkey species including vevet monkeys, blue monkey, white and black colobus among others. Alternatively, join a canopy walk, which includes walking 60 meters above Nyungwe Forest. Also, visit tea plantations, the major activity done around Nyungwe Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Umucyo Lodge.  

Day 15: Transfer to Kahuzi Biega – Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking

Wake up early, have breakfast and transfer to Kahuzi Biega National Park in eastern Congo. Assemble at the Prak headquarters for briefing and at 8:00 am embark on a trek to see the eastern lowland gorillas. Enjoy a magical encounter with the largest gorilla species only found in their national park. Trekking time is not certain but you will spend an hour in the company of the gorillas.  After gorilla trekking, hike back, meet your driver-guide and drive back to Cyagungu town for an overnight stay at Umucyo Lodge.

Day16: Transfer to Kigali

Have breakfast, check out and rive back to Kigali city. Enjoy this scenic drive overlooking Rwanda’s hills, local villages, and farms. Overnight stay at Kigali Marriot Hotel

 Day 17: Optional activities, a day trip to Akagera Park, visit Kigali city, genocide museums

After breakfast, choose between optional activities on this day. You may do a day tour to Akagera National Park for the “big five game” in the open savannahs. Alternatively, for a Kigali city tour to visit different tourist attractions in Kigali city. The places to visit within Kigali city include the Kigali Convention center, presidential palace, Art galleries, and shopping malls. More so, visit genocide museums including Kigali genocide memorial center to learn about the 1994 genocide and pay tribute for the lost lives. Dinner and overnight stay at Kigali Marriot Hotel

 Day 18: Transfer to Nairobi

Today you gave breakfast, check out, and drive to Kigali airport for your connecting flight to Nairobi.  Overnight stay at Carnival restaurant

 Day 19: Visit Giraffe and elephant orphanage

Wake up early, have breakfast and visit the giraffe and elephant orphanage at Davis Sheldric Wildlife center. Observe how orphaned giraffes and elephants are fed, take part in feeding them and learn about their lifestyles at the sanctuary.  Dinner and overnight stay at Carnival restaurant

 Day 20: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Have breakfast and leave Nairobi to Amboseli National Park in Loitoktok district, rift valley. Dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

 Day 21: Full day in Amboseli

Spend this full day exploring and enjoying the beauties of Amboseli National park.  Game drives through the savannah grasses offer you great views of numerous wild animals including buffalos, wildebeest, giraffes, lions, zebras, hyenas, cheetahs and Impalas among others. Amboseli National Park also shelters numerous bird species such as Africa Jacana, Grey Crowned Crane, Rufous Chatter and Goliath Heron among others. Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

 Day 22: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park

Today you will have breakfast check out and transfer to Masai Mara National Park in the Rift Valley Province southwestern Kenya near Narok City. Overnight stay at Mara Engagi Lodge, Mara Sun Lodge.

Day 23: Full day in Masai Mara

Have breakfast, get your packed luncg and go for a full day game viewing experience in the open savannahs of Masai Mara National Park. The park has a high concentration of wild animals including lion, Zebras, Hippos, Cheetahs, Wildebeests, zebras, elephants and impalas among others.  You will have a chance to have a close encounter with animals grazing, browsing and hunting.  Overnight stay at Mara Engagi Lodge, Mara Sun Lodge.

 Day 24: Fly to Arusha/Serengeti National Park

Have breakfast, check out, transfer to Kenyatta international airport and fly to Arusha airport. Thereafter, drive to Serengeti National Park in northern region of Tanzania. Overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

 Day25: Whole day in Serengeti National Park

You ill spend this full-day exploring Serengeti National park. Game drives through the park gives you great encounter with animals such as white rhinos, Elephants, Cheetahs, lion leopards, Grants’ gazelle, Impalas, buffalos, and Topis among others. Overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

 Day 26:Full day in Ngorongoro

Wake up early, have breakfast and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing.  Ngorongoro is home to animals such as Blue wildebeest, Spotted hyena, Hippos, Black rhinos, Lions, African bush elephants, Spotted Hyenas, and African buffalos among others. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

 

Day 27: Fly to Zanzibar

Have breakfast, drive to the airport and fly to Zanzibar.  Dinner and overnight stay at Pongwe Beach Hotel

 Day 28, 29th and 30th in Zanzibar

Spend these three days relaxing and enjoying white sandy beaches and beauties of Zanzibar. Visit the spice farm, historical building, sunbathing and swimming among other activities.
