Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Land into Nairobi Airport and get a warm welcome from our driver guide who then will give a quick briefing on what your safari in all about. Later, transfer to Eka Hotel which is approximately 10 minutes’ drive away from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. This hotel is situated along Mombasa route and incredibly, it comes with excellent amenities.
Day 2: Travel to Amboseli National Park
Have breakfast early in the morning in your respective hotel and after, set off to Amboseli National Park about 4 hours’ drive. You will get to this park early enough and you will be served lunch. It is one most magical conservancy areas with off the beaten sceneries and boasts of its biodiversity. Over 400 bird species call this national park their home as well as giraffes, baboons, cheetah, buffaloes, gazelles, hippos, wildebeests, several reptiles. Later, you will embark on exciting game drive where you will have amazing views over the park’s varied wildlife species and then return to dine and spend a night at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
Day 3: Entire day game drive
Breakfast early in the morning and after, set off for a game drive via the pristine Amboseli National Park. While here, you also have opportunity to amazing views over the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro which is Africa’s highest peak. On game drive, don’t miss to view large herds of elephants, wild dogs, lions, zebras, kudus, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs, baboons, giraffes as well as the savanna and woodlands. In addition, you can as well pay a visit to the local Masai community that live adjacent the park and at end of it, you will be rewarded with authentic African cultures. Dine and spend a night at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
Day 4: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Following breakfast early in the morning, drive to north through Nairobi about 6 hours’ drive and also continue to Equator in the Laikipia plateau and Mount Kenya region. After lunch, take a game drive in the private game ranch. Ol Pejeta conservancy-the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya with chimpanzees and there are 2 groups that thrive here. As well, there are black rhinos breeding areas. Dine and spend a night at Serena Camp.
Day 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Have a cup of tea or coffee and after, take part in variety of safari activities that are offered in this conservancy area including game viewing, game rides, camel rides, night game drives and others. The Sweet waters chimpanzee sanctuary is incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and it is where you will find the highly endangered species. Dine and spend a night at Serena Camp.
Day 6: Leave to Lake Nakuru National Park
Have breakfast early in the morning and after, embark on a 3 hours’ drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at Lake Nakuru and have game drive and lunch at excellent tented camp. This is a shallow alkaline lake where you will have good time with this park’s diverse natural wonders with distinct habitats which range from the Lake itself to other nearby areas with incredible escarpment and ridges. A game drive takes you through wildlife species such as Rothschild giraffes, impalas, zebras, gazelles, black and white rhinos and others. After the afternoon game viewing experience drive back to Lake Nakuru Sopa Resort.
Day 7: Transfer to Lake Naivasha National Park
Breakfast early enough and then embark on a game drive which lasts for about 2 hours in Lake Naivasha. This park lies in northwestern side of Nairobi. You will also have a chance to embark on scenic sunset boat ride where you will view hippos and also take a walk on Crescent Islands. There are many incredible creatures to look out while at this park. Have dinner and overnight stay at Naivasha Sopa Resort.
Day 8: Game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, set off to Masai Mara for game viewing. You will spend about 6 hours driving via the Great Rift Valley escarpment to this spectacular nature reserve. Have lunch and after set of for afternoon game viewing. This nature reserve is ideal ground for one to spot out the big game-lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos as well as giraffes, hyenas, elands, gazelles and others. Have dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 9: Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy breakfast and after, have the entire day for both morning and afternoon game drive. While here, you may opt for a hot air balloon flight an aerial game viewing with a champagne breakfast in the bush upon landing. The reserve provides excellent chances for one to views cheetahs, lions, zebras, gazelles, elephants and wildebeests especially in July. After, return to Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Leave Masai Mara National Reserve and departure
Enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and then set off for early morning game drive to spot out the big cats and most sun risers. After, embark on a return journey to Nairobi or opt for make a flight to Nairobi. Have lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant and perhaps do some shopping. After, drop off at the airport for flight back home.
