Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth – Launch Cruise
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or the airport and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy this 7 hours scenic drive via Mbarara- Kasese road reaching the park in the afternoon. Check into the lodge and join an evening launch cruise at Kazinga Chanel for cool breezes and great views of birds and wild water animals on the riverbanks. Overnight stay at Simba Safari lodge/ Mweya safari Lodge, UWA Bandas
Day 2: Game viewing & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Today you wake up very early and transfer to the open plains of the park for game viewing. Expect to see a high concentration of animals including lions, elephants, buffalos, leopard, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Topis, elands, hippos and warthogs grazing and hunting in the park. Return to the lodge, have breakfast, freshen up and check out of the lodge. Drive through Ishasha sector home to the famous tree-climbing lions. You will have lunch en route and drive through Kabale town to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking & Batwa
Arise very early, have breakfast, get your packed lunch and transfer to the respective Bwindi park headquarters to register and attend a pre gorilla trekking briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Thereafter embark on a hike into a thick forest to meet your closet relatives. Hiking is undeniably strenuous but the magical feeling of meeting a gorilla family is worth the effort. Spend an hour with gorillas learn about their human-like characters, take pictures and have fun. Hike back to get your trekking certificate, meet your driver-guide. If time allows, you will visit batwa pygmies to learn about their traditional forest life end enjoy a cultural performance. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort
Day 4: Departure
Wakeup on a cup of coffee, see the sunrise and drive back to Kampala for your return flight at Entebbe International airport.
