Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast early in the morning and get a warm welcome and pick up by our driver guide ready to head off to western Uganda to Queen Elizabeth National Park about 5-6 hours’ drive via Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara road. En-route, make a stopover at Equator point at Kayabwe for photography and relaxation. Also make a stopover at Igongo cultural center for lunch then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive early enough to check in at a lodge of your choice for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge (Luxury), Kyambura Game Lodge (Midrange) or Bush Lodge (Budget).

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early in the morning and have a tasty breakfast. After, embark on morning game drive along Kasenyi sector to catch up with early morning risers.Uganda safaris
Expect to see wildlife species like buffaloes, leopards, lions, elephants, antelopes, birds and many others. Return afterwards to the lodge to have lunch and after, proceed for an afternoon launch/boat cruise via Kazinga channel which rewards you with amazing encounters over huge concentration of crocodiles, hippos, birds and many savanna wildlife species that come grazing around this water area. Have a rest, dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge (Luxury), Kyambura Game Lodge (Midrange) or Bush Lodge (Budget).

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Get the best of a delicious breakfast and after, embark on a road trip to Bwindi National Park, southwest of Uganda through Ishasha sector to catch a glimpse at the rare tree climbing lions. En-route make a stopover at Savanna Resort Hotel for lunch and then proceed to Bwindi to check in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at chameleon Hill Lodge/Mahogany springs lodge/Buhoma Lodge (Luxury), Gorilla Mist Camp/Silverback lodge (Midrange) or Ruhija gorilla friends camp/Buhoma community rest camp (Budget).

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park
Get up early in the morning to have breakfast and after, gather at the park headquarters for morning briefing on dos and don’ts to be observed while tracking gorillasEngagi Safaris in the jungles of Bwindi National Park. Later, hit the jungles to look out for these creatures which may last you about 2-8 hours or more depending on your hiking speed, nature of habitat and location of gorillas. You have only 1 hour with these unique creatures face to face, explore more about their behaviors and take photos. After, return to the lodge for rest and in the evening, you can embark on a community walk in Batwa community where you will have a chance to learn more on the Batwa pygmies cultures and customs. Dinner and overnight stay at chameleon Hill Lodge/Mahogany springs lodge/Buhoma Lodge (Luxury), Gorilla Mist Camp/Silverback lodge (Midrange) or Ruhija gorilla friends camp/Buhoma community rest camp (Budget).

Day 5: Return to Kampala
After breakfast early in the morning, check out from the lodge ready to embark on 8-10 hours’ drive back to Kampala. This marks the end of your 5 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari.
