5 Days Kidepo Valley National park Safari

This 5 Days Uganda Safari takes you to Kidepo Valley national park also known as Africa’s finest wilderness  and the least visited park in north eastern region. Explore and enjoy the trilling game drives in the open savannas of the park with scenic views of numerous animals grazing, hunting and browsing in the park.  Visit Kalamajongo communities for cultural experience, tour the hot springs and exhaust this wilderness with no limit.  This road trip starts and ends in Kampala/Entebbe Uganda.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:Pick up and transfer to Kidepo valley

Early in the morning, our driver guide will pick you  from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and set off for a long drive north east wards  to Kdepo Valley National Park. Stop in Gulu town for late lunch and proceed to the park reaching in the evening. You may have an optional night game drive to see nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at Nga Moru Wilderness camp.

Day 2: Game drive & tour hot springs

Wake up very early and transfer to Naru valley for excellent game viewing. Narus valley has the highest concentration of wild animals  including elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, bush duikers, jackals, bush pigs, water bucks, warthogs, jackals, mountain reed buck, Kuddus, Caracal and spotted hyenas among others. Also, the valley is home for  the famous ostriches which give an added opportunity to make you safari memorable. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and wait for hot lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Kanangorok hot springs

Kanangorok HotSprings in Kidepo Valley National park

in the northern park of the park towards Kidepo river. Enjoy the  magical views of the hotsprings whose waters boils  at 50°c temperature to make tea and boil eggs. Expect to find local people bathing in the healing waters of the  hot springs. Return to Nga Moru Wilderness camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to kotido, visit the Manyata cultural village

After breakfast, transfer to Kotido to visit the Manyata cultural village which is also the world’s biggest cultural village. Here you will interact with local people in their Manyatas, take part in their cultural practices  and learn more about their exceptional cultures and traditions. Dinner and overnight in Moroto Town

Day 4:t Transfer  to Pian Upe game reserve & evening game drive

After breakfast, transfer to Pian Up wildlife  reserve, Uganda’s largest game reserve spreading over a total land area of 2043 square kilometers. Enjoy this scenic drive through  Pader Palwo  on Moroto road. Enjoy the evening game drives in the park  which offers  you close encounters of wild animals grazing and hunting in the park before retiring for night rest. Dinner and overnight at Pian Upe Bandas.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala for departure

Have breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala for your connecting flight.
