 Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up, overnight in Kampala

Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, your driver guide from our company will pick you up and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Fairway Hotel/Marriot Hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Today you wake up early, have breakfast, check out and set off for Kibale Forest National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive through tea plantations, bananas, and local communities with a stop at Nakayima Tree. Have lunch en route in beautiful Fort portal and proceed to Kibale Forest, the “Primate Capital” in Africa. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House/ Kibale Forest Camp

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland

Having had a cup of coffee, get your packed lunch and transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor information center for regulations and briefing about chimpanzee trekking. Trekking to see man’s close relative “the chimps” start at 8:00 am lasting for between 30 minutes to several hours depending on where chimpanzees will be located that day. Spend an hour in the company of the endangered chimpanzees, enjoy their human-like characters, take pictures and have fun. In the afternoon, go for a nature walk through Bigodi wetland, the best spot to see colubus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus plus many bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House/ Kibale Forest Camp

Day 4: Transfer to QENP- Evening boat Cruise

Wake up early, have breakfast, check out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will reach in the afternoon and embark on an evening bot cruise at Kazinga channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. The banks of Kazinga channel shelters numerous bird species, which include Yellow-billed stork, Black Crake, Open Billed Stork, African Shoebill, Hammerkops, saddle bill stork, African Kingfisher, African Jacana, Pink-backed pelicans, long-tailed Cormorants, and hammerkops among others. Look out for crocodiles and hippos resting lazily at the riverbanks. The cruise also offers you great views of the neighboring fishing villages and wildlife in the park.

 Day 5: Game viewing & Bunyonyi

In the early morning, go for game drives through the savannahs of the park to catch up with early risers feeding. Queen Elizabeth National Park has a high concentration of wild animals including Elephants, lions, hippos, buffalos, Elands, Topis, Uganda Kobs, Waterbucks, Warthogs and leopards among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast, check out and drive through Ishasha sector to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second deepest lake. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 6:Visit gorillas in Bwindi Forest

Rise up early, have breakfast and with your packed lunch drive to Bwindi Forest, home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Assemble at the park headquarters for registration and pre gorilla trekking briefing. You will be put together in groups of eight and allocated different gorilla families to visit. The trek to see gorillas starts at 8:00 am and it may take 30 minutes to a full day for trekking before meeting the gorillas. After meeting gorillas, keep calm, hold your cameras tight and enjoy this magical encounter. Observe how a silverback guards his home as a father, while adult females nurse babies. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 7: Transfer to Kampala

Have breakfast, check out ad rive back to Kampala for your connecting flight at Entebbe airport
